The last few days have seen growing reports that Sousa will be axed with a bad result at San Siro, where his side dominated 4-1 last season.
“I am in the same position as any Coach, because we are all at risk,” said the Portuguese tactician in his Press conference.
“I just focus on my work and give my best to win. All I can do is focus on the things I can control and not on those that are out of my control.
“I hope it won’t have an effect on the players. We are up against a side that did very well against Milan and we need to be at our best.
“Last season at San Siro it was a fight for the top of the table, so that proved an important result.”
Inter have already changed their Coach, sacking Frank de Boer after 84 days in charge to make way for Stefano Pioli.
“They have different principles now, they press higher and have more self-belief. We are improving and I hope we can recapture that confidence.
“We need more consistency. Everyone was disappointed by the Europa League defeat to PAOK, not just me. This year we are penalised for every error we make, so we have to create even more chances to cancel that out.
“I tell the fans that I will do what I can to make them proud.”
