The 23-year-old only signed a new contract with the Aquile last week and his price-tag is over €100m.

According to The Sun’s report, Mourinho aims to use his friendship with agent Mateja Kezman to get the deal done.

However, today Belgian paper Het Nieuwsblad claims Kezman is one of the names authorities want to speak to as part of the massive financial fraud and match-fixing inquiry into Belgian football.

The fraud was largely centred around two agents, Mogi Bayat and Dejan Veljkovic, and the latter works for Kezman’s firm.

Het Nieuwsblad and Serbian paper Kurir alleges one of the transfers under investigation for potential fraud is the move that took Milinkovic-Savic from Vojvodina to KRC Genk in 2014.

The same source claims Kezman is currently untraceable.

So far, nine people have been charged, although RTBF claim it is closer to 17, with 29 suspects interrogated.
