Sky Sport Italia report that Inter are preparing to present an offer to Arsenal for Folarin Balogun following the news that previous target Gianluca Scamacca is set to join Atalanta from West Ham.

According to Sky, Inter are prepared to offer Arsenal a similar fee to the one they had prepared for Scamacca, but are willing to include a substantial sell-on clause to sweeten the deal.

It is said that Inter will offer €25m plus €5m in bonuses as well as a hefty sell-on clause for the USMNT striker.

Arsenal meanwhile, have reportedly set the asking price at €40m, leaving a difference in valuation of €10m ignoring the aforementioned release clause.

Balogun is thought to be Inter’s current first choice, given his age and profile. He is described as being an investment both for the present and future.

If Inter are unable to strike a deal for Balogun though, it has been mentioned that they could turn to Udinese and attempt to bring 25-year-old forward Beto to San Siro instead.
