Sky Sport Italia claims Mike Maignan will likely miss the next two Serie A games against Hellas Verona and Cagliari, but is expected to be back against Lazio on September 30.

Maignan suffered a flexor injury during Milan‘s 0-0 draw against Newcastle on Tuesday, but medical examinations have ruled out a lesion.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Peppe Di Stefano said on Wednesday afternoon that the outcome of Maignan’s physical tests means the France international will miss games against Hellas Verona and Cagliari and be back against Lazio on September 30.

Milan will meet Hellas Verona at San Siro this coming Saturday at 14:00 BST while the following match with Cagliari will be played in Sardinia on Wednesday, September 27 at 17:30.

Maignan’s teammate Ruben Loftus-Cheek was also subbed off on Tuesday against Newcastle, but didn’t need medical tests as he only had cramps. According to Di Stefano, however, the Englishman is destined to rest against Hellas Verona this weekend.
