“We played well in the secont half, it’s a pit we didn’t win,” Skriniar told DAZN.

The Slovakia international’s goal in the second half was not enough for the Nerazzurri to take all the three points against Roma who levelled the game through a late Gianluca Mancini equaliser.

“We played well in the secont half, it’s a pit we didn’t win,” Skriniar told DAZN.

“However, Mancini hit me with his elbow before he scored the equaliser, there is nothing we can do now, we wasted a few chances and we could win the game.”

Skriniar explained his celebration.

“That kiss was for my daughter, then I hugged Pintus because he predicted my goal, he had told me I would score.”

The 25-year-old had dropped down the pecking order last season, but he is now a regular starter again.

“Conte trusts me and Inter are a great team,” he said.

“It’s normal that somebody else plays when you are going through tough times because we have a very strong team.

“Now, I’m glad to have regained the trust of Conte.”
