The Nerazzurri have been locked in talks with the Slovakian’s representatives over a new deal since the summer, but so far no agreement has been found.

While there is no rush, with the centre-back’s current deal expiring in 2022, the club is keen to tie him down as a signal of intent as much as anything else.

According to Quotidiano Sportivo, Skriniar wants to double his current salary to €3m per season, but the highest Inter offer is €2.5m.

As a result there has so far been no agreement, though both parties are keen to continue together.
