“I watched several of their games and was not impressed,” Simoni told Itasportpress.it.
“Inter didn’t have a style of football against Genoa, so the result arrived without a good performance. There have been some flickers of light at the end of the tunnel, but when Stefano Pioli says only Juventus are stronger than Inter, he’s very wrong.
“Right now there are at least six Serie A sides playing better football than the Nerazzurri. It’s true they have changed many Coaches and there is tactical confusion as a result, but it’s not fair to seek justifications by saying Inter are just below Juve in terms of quality.
“Unfortunately the players lack a reference point within the club, because with these Chinese owners nobody knows who is actually in charge.
“Inter need the return of Massimo Moratti, a President who despite the odd moment of madness always did good work.”
