Fiorentina have made a €17m offer for Genoa striker Giovanni Simeone, claim Sky Sport Italia, as Milan focus on Nikola Kalinic.

The asking price for the Argentine is €20m, but these evening’s reports suggest Genoa are considering the latest proposal.

If the Viola were to sign Simeone, it would effectively free up Kalinic for Milan.

According to Mediaset Premium, the Rossoneri have acknowledged the other targets are simply not available and turning their focus back towards Kalinic.

He was the player initially requested by Coach Vincenzo Montella, although the €30m price-tag put them off.

Directors Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli aimed for more prestigious names, but Borussia Dortmund and Torino have no intention of parting with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Andrea Belotti.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia also report that Milan sources deny France Football’s claim that they saw a €30m offer for Radamel Falcao rejected by Monaco.

The Rossoneri are not alone in chasing Kalinic, as Everton are also contenders for the Croatia international.
