The Nerazzurri want the Argentine defender and Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini went as far as saying that a move was 99 per cent certain.

However, speaking with Sport Italia, Zamparini has revealed that negotiations have ground to a halt.

“The talks with Inter over Silvestre have been at a standstill since last week,” the Stadio Barbera chief commented.

Palermo want around €10m for the South American, a year after they handed over €8m to Catania for his signature.
