Siena chief Massimo Mezzaroma has admitted that he would struggle to stop Antonio Conte from joining Juventus.

Conte, a former Juve captain, has been suggested as a possible successor to Gigi Del Neri on the Turin bench next season.

"I don't like the idea of Conte coming up to me and telling me that Juventus want him," stated Mezzaroma.

"I hope it doesn't happen, but if it did then we would have to think about it because Conte is certainly a Coach who deserves Juventus.

"However, for the time being, Conte is tied to another Bianconero…"

Siena are just one point away from getting back into the top flight and that has made Conte a wanted man after his previous promotion success with Bari.

"Antonio will only leave if a big club gets in touch," added Siena sporting director Giorgio Perinetti. "Like Juve? Like Juve…"

However, it remains to be seen whether the former Italian international will be targeted by the Turin giants.

Reports today insist that Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri is the new first choice candidate if Del Neri is shown the door.
