Andriy Shevchenko believes his former club Milan have “a great future” with Carlos Bacca up-front.

The Colombian has 13 goals in Serie A for the Rossoneri so far this season, and has caught the eye of a former Diavolo great.

“He’s a strong player,” Shevchenko noted in an interview with Sky.

“Milan have a great future with him if he continues on this path.”

Shevchenko scored 173 goals for Milan in seven seasons after arriving from Dynamo Kiev in 1999.

The Ukrainian then joined English side Chelsea in 2006, before returning to the Rossoneri on loan two years later.

His second spell was not as successful, however, managing just two goals in 26 games before returning to Kiev.
