According to a number of outlets in Italy led by the Corriere dello Sport, Shaqiri has now been excused from this afternoon’s training session with Bayern, with it perceived that talks are advancing.

Furthermore, Sky Deutschland reporter Torben Hoffmann, who first reported on the playmaker's exemption, says that an official announcement by the German club may be due very soon.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia are running the line that Shaqiri’s determination to move to Inter ahead of Liverpool even has him willing to take a paycut to help financial terms between La Beneamata and Bayern be reached.
