Claudio Ranieri's Roma have reason to smile as their Champions League opponents Shakhtar Donetsk could be disqualified from the competition.

Earlier today, UEFA's executive committee warned the Ukrainian government to stop interfering in football with the threat of their clubs being suspended from its tournaments.

If Shakhtar are banned, it's thought that Roma would receive an automatic bye to the next round of the Champions League.

In that case the Giallorossi would make the Quarter-Finals for the first time since 2008.
