Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing Inter midfielder Matias Vecino, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Uruguayan joined the club from Fiorentina and was a regular under Luciano Spalletti at the Nerazzurri.

However he has fallen down the pecking order at San Siro since the arrival of current boss Antonio Conte.

Vecino has clocked up plenty of minutes, with Inter’s injuries in midfield meaning Vecino has made 14 appearances in Serie A this season.

Il Corriere states that Sevilla hold an interest in the 28-year-old and could make a move before the end of the January transfer window.

The move may not happen yet, but should Inter finally conclude a deal for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen to arrive in January rather than June, then the club would allow Vecino to leave.

Inter paid Fiorentina €23m for Vecino’s services in the summer of 2017.
