Vis Pesaro have announced that Simone Pavan has been sacked from his position as head coach after a string of poor results.

The Serie C side are currently 16th in the table but only behind Gubbio at the last safe spot by goal difference.

A run of five games without a win in the League ended Pavan's short stay at the club, where he picked up seven wins in 26 league matches.

Pavan was appointed last summer, after leaving his position as the youth team coach at Sampdoria, but only lasted seven months in Marche.

Pavan has previous experience as head coach of Modena in Serie B.
