However, on 78 minutes Igor Coronado was allowed to run relatively undisturbed down the right flank and he placed a snooker shot into the far bottom corner.
 
The second leg of this semi-final is played in Trapani on Tuesday evening.
 
As the Sicilians finished higher up the table in the regular season, they will go through to the Final if this tie ends level on aggregate.
 
The other semi-final first leg between Novara and Pescara is tomorrow.
