Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueño opened the door to Mateo Kovacic for Milan. “We’ll have time to think about that later.”

The Rossoneri confirmed they are eager to sign the 22-year-old Croatia international on loan, possibly with an option to buy, after he struggled to get playing time.

It is evident he is not part of their plans, as Kovacic isn’t even on the bench for tonight’s Champions League Final against Atletico Madrid.

“Could we sell Kovacic? We are in the Final now, the most important game of the year. There will be time to think about that later,” Butragueño told Mediaset Premium in Italy.

“This is the most prestigious competition and it’s an honour for us to be here at San Siro. Atletico are very solid defensively and allow few chances, but we’ll do our best to win the match.”
