Milan Coach Gennaro Gattuso believes Italian teams are “asserting themselves” in Europe, but English clubs win “10 to 0” in terms of business and organisation.

The Rossoneri face Arsenal in the Europa League tomorrow, and the former midfielder was asked about the differences between Serie A and the Premier League.

“The Italian teams are asserting themselves in Europe,” Gattuso replied.

“Today the comparison between the business in English football and in Italian football is 10 to 0. What we managed to do 10 years ago, they’re now doing.

“There are more big names in England than in Italy, but by doing it this way we can allow our young players to grow and that’s something I like.”

Giacomo Bonaventura joined his Coach in the Press conference, and was asked if he’d like to move to the Premier League one day.

“Leave him alone!” Gattuso interrupted with a smile.

“Jack, don’t answer. He’s fine at Milan, he’s scoring goals. Why should he go to the Premier League and get kicked. Leave him here.

“You have created a problem for me now, [Mino] Raiola will already be setting the wheels in motion. You're good, but mind your own business!”

Juventus are also in action against English opposition, taking on Tottenham Hotspur tonight, what advice does Ringhio have for Max Allegri?

“He hardly needs my advice, he’s made it to two Champions League finals.

“When I was a player we came back from a 2-2 against Monaco, everyone said we were already out and were talking about Marcello Lippi coming in for Carlo Ancelotti and then we won the Champions League.

“Juventus are a great team, and Allegri will never die of stress, he’s the best Italian Coach out there right now and I think he’ll play a great game tonight.”

Arsene Wenger has been at Arsenal for over 20 years, would Gattuso like to do similar with Milan?

“I’d like that very much. I’d like to do this job for many years, and I can only do it one way which is to put all of myself in to it.

“I’d like to build something long lasting.”
