Kept a clean sheet with a series of saves including pure reaction from two Jovetic screamers, while also blocking Behrami and foiling Gamberini's header. Not quite Buffon, but a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Commanding.
Aleandro Rosi [Roma]
Played opposite Taddei and like him ruled the flank on the right. Pushed menacingly into Bologna's area on several occasions while showing a lot of determination and is quickly growing out of his salad days. Coetaneous.
Bostjan Cesar [Chievo]
Gave Lazio” data-scaytid=”13″>Lazio short shrift from the off with two shots rattling the woodwork, while a finger-tip save stopped his header from going in. Meanwhile, he was absolutely crucial at the back never allowing Cisse or Hernanes to shine whatsoever. Exigent.
Rodrigo Taddei [Roma]
Some have greatness thrust upon them and he is reinventing himself as a top terzino. Opened the scoring with a stunning volley from the edge of the box and continually prompted down the flank. Propagative.

The Uruguayan primed the Partenopei engine to perfection and was the devil incarnate to the visitors, controlling the midfield imperiously. Scored a brilliant goal with a wonderfully curved ball that foiled Frey. Autocratic.
Marek Hamsik [Napoli]
Such stuff as dreams are made on. Spread the ball around intelligently with his elegant cool. His quick thinking saw him capitalise on the rebound from Granqvist to slam in the second goal, while he also set up Gargano's goal with a princely pull-back. Stupefying.
Sergio Almiron [Catania]
Not a foregone conclusion as the Argentinian refused to allow his team to buckle and equalised following Modesto's mistake. Even as Parma went two ahead his head never went down and he played a big part in the eventual draw. Exceptional.
Yuto Nagatomo [Inter]
The Japanese was Lecce's crack of doom and really menaced on the wing. Excelled in the second half when two fabulous solo runs down the left ended with him putting top-class passes in for Cambiasso then Alvarez's goal. Prodigious.
Guido Marilungo [Atalanta]
It was once more into the breach as Coach Colantuono's faith in Marilungo's ability to play just behind Denis was rewarded with two great goals. His Man of the Match performance saw him even outshine his teammate Denis. Complementary.
Edinson Cavani [Napoli]
The game is afoot again as the Matador cleverly exploited Genoa's offside trap for his first, while simply looping the ball over Frey's head for number two. Popped up everywhere and even had the luxury of missing two sitters. Phenomenal.
Pablo Osvaldo [Roma]
With Roma having over 70 per cent of the possession the Argentinian earned his pound of flesh and unfailingly exploited it to perfection. Scored his seventh goal of the season with a cracking volley that burned Gillet's glove. Irrepressible.
