Nico Gonzalez is expected to start for Fiorentina against José Mourinho’s Roma, while the Giallorossi will rely on Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala.

It kicks off at 19:45 GMT at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Gonzalez missed Fiorentina’s last two games due to muscle problems but has been called up for tonight’s meeting in the capital. He will likely start on the right wing joining Jack Bonaventura and one between Jonathan Ikoné, Riccardo Sottil and Christian Kouamé.

Lucas Beltran is favourite over Mbala N’Zola in attack. Fiorentina needed extra time and penalties to beat Serie B side Parma in Coppa Italia at the Stadio Franchi on Wednesday. They have travelled to Rome without the injured Dodo and Gaetano Castrovilli.

On the other hand, Roma haven’t played any mid-week games and have Chris Smalling, Tammy Abraham and Marash Kumbulla out of action. Rasmus Kristensen is expected to start on the right wing with Rick Karsdorp initially on the bench. Lorenzo Pellegrini is favourite over Edoardo Bove in central midfield.

The winner between Roma and Fiorentina will earn a spot in the top four. The Giallorossi are currently sharing the last Champions League placement available with Napoli as both have 24 points, but Fiorentina follow Giallorossi and Partenopei with 23.
