Nwankwo Simy stepped up from the spot for Crotone against Bologna this afternoon.

He managed to beat Lukasz Skorupski, a man who had already parried penalties from Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile and Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic this term.

This was a special milestone, as it was the 100th penalty converted in Serie A this season.

It was also the 816th goal, so the other 716 were from open play or dead-ball situations.

Penalties are by no means a guarantee of goals, because there have been 15 this term that were either saved or missed, four of them by Milan.
