Switzerland international Granit Xhaka has confirmed he was approached by two Serie A clubs this summer.
“I had contact with Inter and Napoli, but leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach was never my intention,” the 21-year-old stated. “I have a contract with them until 2016.”
Xhaka, formerly of Basel, is a quality midfielder who appeared for his national side at the 2014 World Cup.
