Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori return to Milan‘s starting XI while Noah Okafor will replace the suspended Rafael Leao against Empoli.

It kicks off at 14:00 GMT at the Stadio Meazza in San Siro.

Alessandro Florenzi and Rafael Leao are serving a one-match ban, while Tommaso Pobega is injured. Stefano Pioli will line up Thiaw and Tomori in central defence. The last time they started together was on November 28 in a Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.

Tijjani Reijnders and Ismael Bennacer are expected to start in central midfield, while Okafor will replace Leao on the left wing. Luka Jovic will replace Olivier Giroud who will rest between Europa League games against Slavia Praha.

Empoli have travelled to Milan without the injured Alberto Grassi. Coach Davide Nicola could start ex-Milan striker M’Baye Niang who is fighting for a starting spot with Alberto Cerri.

Giuseppe Pezzella is expected to replace Liberato Cacace on the left wing.
