The 2016-17 Serie A season will run from August 20 to May 28, while the Coppa Italia should end on June 2.

The dates were announced by the Lega Serie A this evening.
There will be three midweek rounds on Wednesday September 21, October 26 and Thursday December 22.
The Christmas break will remain and as is tradition Serie A returns on January 6.
Breaks for international duty are on the weekends of September 4, October 9, November 16 and March 26.
The Coppa Italia begins in August and is due to conclude on Friday June 2, however there are already plans to bring it forward to Wednesday May 17 if needed.
