The former Inter and Napoli Coach has been tipped to succeed Quique Sanchez Flores for several days now.
“We are talking to him about it,” Pozzo told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Mazzarri has been learning English for over a year, even staying with a family near Manchester.
He also discussed the struggle to keep Udinese in Serie A.
“We are happy, as we fixed up the stadium and that will keep the fans with us. The enthusiasm of the Premier League is wonderful and we’d like more of that in Udine.”
