Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi is out of Saturday’s game with Roma after undergoing surgery for a fractured hand.

A statement from the club confirmed Sensi has gone under the knife to stabilise a scaphoid fracture in his right hand.

The operation was successful, but he is unable to play against Roma this weekend.

Sensi sustained the injury at the base of the hand during an accidental training ground collision.
