The Rossoneri need to not only get a result here, but also hope one of the results goes there way from Inter-Empoli and Atalanta-Sassuolo.

“I hope that my players do not feel too relaxed, because we want to see out the season with a good performance,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“A victory would allow us to achieve something that would’ve been unthinkable a few weeks ago, as it’d be extraordinary to finish in 10th place.

“We want to put in a great performance against a big club and end the season in the best possible way so we can celebrate with our fans.

“It will be a SPAL side ready to fight it out and take the initiative. Our approach and mentality will be important. I admit, we have lost something in terms of intensity after securing safety, but this is the last round and we’re in front of our fans.

“Milan have a lot of quality, so we must play as a team with intensity and determination.”

Semplici confirmed Marko Jankovic could be given a start, though “he can play as a second striker or a trequartista and it’ll be up to us to find the best position for him to express himself.

“It is a wonderful sensation to be here with our status secure when others are still scrambling to avoid relegation. I must thank the players, who stepped up during difficult moments.

“I hope the stadium can be filled with the Biancazzurri colours, because it’s only right to celebrate an extraordinary season. Perhaps we’ll only realise in a few years just how extraordinary it was.”
