Semplici states that he hopes his side can build upon their good performance against Fiorentina last weekend, despite losing.

“I believe in the quality of the lads. We played well in Florence, giving the impression of a side that are doing well,” said Semplici in his press conference.

“We face a team in great shape and who are doing exceptional things at a high level.

“At home they have great qualities, it will be up to us to play with great attention and determination.

“The first half of the season must help us to correct certain aspects that were missing.

“We lack that pinch of arrogance and ruthlessness which is needed. However, we have nothing more to lose.

“I hope in the second half of the season we will improve, by immediately starting to get points and move up the table.”

New signing Bryan Dabo played for 86 minutes in the 3-0 Coppa Italia loss to Milan during the week, so will he feature from the start against La Dea?

“In Milan he played for most of the game discreetly. Now he has to adapt.

“He is doing well and is giving some guarantees. We will see tomorrow if he starts.”
