Leonardo Semplici believes Cagliari’s Serie A experience was the difference against his SPAL team.

“Experience made the difference. Cagliari took advantage of some of our errors but the team showed it has identity,” Semplici reflected following the match.
“We didn’t manage to play as well as we did in previous games. The boys gave everything.

Despite today’s defeat, Semplici is still pleased with SPAL’s haul of four points from as many games so far this season.
“This good start should give us belief. We need to show a little more and show our character out on the pitch.”
