Pippo Inzaghi has been in a meeting with Adriano Galliani this afternoon, and is just confirmation away from becoming the new Milan boss.

Gazzetta dello Sport reveal that the Primavera Coach has been in talks with the board member on Wednesday and is all-but set to be named as the new man in charge of the Rossoneri first team.

Galliani and President Silvio Berlusconi have opted to promote the youth team tactician after impressing with the youngsters.

Inzaghi has been leading the Under-19 team since 2012, where he has guided them to winning the prestigious Viareggio tournament.

Contracts are thought to have been signed this afternoon, but all that’s left to work out is Clarence Seedorf’s exit from San Siro.

The Dutchman is owed €10m in wages if he is to be sacked by Milan – a fee the club deem too large.

As such, lawyers representing the club and the former midfielder are in discussions to try and thrash out, either, a severance package, or the option of the Coach being put on gardening leave.

Once that has been agreed, Inzaghi can start work.
