Clarence Seedorf’s agent has reflected that the Botafogo man is not fussed by Milan keeping Max Allegri, only relieved that links with him can end.

The Dutchman was speculated as the club’s first choice to come in and replace Allegri as Coach this summer, with the Italian’s position at San Siro seen as at risk.

However, the Rossoneri have confirmed faith in Allegri for the foreseeable future and Milan’s former midfielder is apparently mostly relieved.

“There is no particular reaction from Seedorf, partly because it is a normal situation when a Coach has a contract and it is honoured,” Deborah Martin told Sportmediaset.

“Seedorf has never paid attention to these rumours and he certainly will not do it now.

“It was bad to hear rumours that he was requesting a salary that was disproportionate, when in fact Clarence never asked for anything.

“I can assure you that he is quite comfortable where he is now and is more than happy to not have to be involved in any more rumours regarding Milan.”
