Gianluca Scamacca’s grandfather Sandro was arrested yesterday after putting a knife to a client’s throat in a bar in Rome.

It happened in the neighbourhood of Fidene, in the suburbs of the capital.

According to Il Messaggero, Sandro Scamacca was drunk or in an altered state of consciousness when he entered a bar threatening the clients inside.

Scamacca’s grandpa reportedly put a knife to a client’s throat, forcing Police to intervene at the scene.

According to the report, they first tried to calm him down by just talking to him before using force to immobilise and disarm him.

He was arrested and charged with aggravated threats, possession of a weapon and resistance to public officials.

This past May, Scamacca’s father was arrested for vandalising a few cars in Trigoria.

Scamacca, 22, returned to Sassuolo in the summer after a loan spell at Genoa.

He was part of the Italy squad that faced Switzerland and Northern Ireland during the last international break.

He made his senior Azzurri debut this past September in a World Cup qualifying match against Lithuania.

  1. You’ll have to think twice as any big club to even consider bringing in a player with such a rotten family
