Italy Under-21 striker Gianluca Scamacca has returned to Sassuolo from his loan spell at Dutch side PEC Zwolle.
A statement on Sassuolo’s official website adds Scamacca – a Mino Raiola client – will wear the No 11 jersey, last worn by Diego Falcinielli.
The 20-year-old only joined Zwolle at the start of the season but failed to score in 10 appearances for Jaap Stam’s team.
He goes back to a Neroverdi side who are in need of attacking reinforcements after losing Kevin-Prince Boateng to Barcelona.
