Sassuolo are no new to beating Inter at San Siro having secured five victories in 11 away games against the Nerazzurri.

Alessio Dionisi’s side stunned Inter with a 2-1 win on Wednesday, inspired by Domenico Berardi.

Sassuolo have now more victories than Inter in their meetings at the Stadio Meazza. The Neroverdi won five games out of 11 against Inter’s four.

Dionisi has beaten Simone Inzaghi in two of their last three meetings at the Stadio Meazza while Sassuolo’s longest-winning streak in away games against the Nerazzurri is from 2016 to 2018 when they won three consecutive matches at San Siro.

Inter have won two consecutive home games against Sassuolo only once in history: in February and September 2014.

They first secured a 1-0 victory in the 2013-14 campaign and then beat the Neroverdi 7-0 in 2014-15 with Walter Mazzarri in charge.

There have been two consecutive draws between these two sides at San Siro, 0-0 in 2018-19 and 3-3 in 2019-20.
