Former Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini believes Sunday’s 4-3 win against Sassuolo can be a “turning point” for the Rossoneri.

Milan came back from 3-1 down to defeat Sassuolo for their third Serie A victory in four matches, prompting Ambrosini to suggest his former side had kick-started their season.

“The win against Sassuolo can be the turning point for the season,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“The team, at least for now, are convincing in terms of results, less so in their game, and against Sassuolo this was confirmed.

“For the Rossoneri, Niang is fundamental. He’s too important for his speed and acceleration.”
