Sassuolo turned down Villarreal’s offer for Nicola Sansone, revealed director general Giovanni Carnevali.
“This year we received many requests for our players from important clubs. For example, Villarreal asked for Sansone, but we want to go forward with these lads,” Carnevali told Mediaset Premium.
“We only sold Sime Vrsaljko to Atletico Madrid and let’s not forget we secured Stefano Sensi and Luca Mazzitelli in January.”
Sassuolo are also keeping Domenico Berardi, who agreed by mutual consent not to join Juventus.
