Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali warns talks with Roma for Gregoire Defrel are “on stand-by”.
The Giallorossi are keen to sign the Frenchman this month, but the Emilian side want to keep hold of him.
Defrel’s agent said earlier today that negotiations were at “a delicate time”, and the Neroverdi are so far holding firm.
“There have been no steps forward,” Carnevali told Rete Sport.
“Negotiations are currently on stand-by. At the moment both parties are sticking to our positions.”
