Between bans and injuries, the absentee list includes Paolo Cannavaro, Emanuele Terranova, Luca Antei, Federico Peluso and Sime Vrsaljko.
“Lazio have a lot of quality, bought important players in defence and are a solid club. They deserve their current position in the table and probably could’ve had a few more points too.
“We want to fight and the players know how to sacrifice themselves for the team. We are feeling confident at the moment.”
Di Francesco also confirmed that free agent Cesare Natali will sign for Sassuolo next week after a trial run.
