Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali assures the club is ‘calm’ and has not received any notice of their part in the Prisma investigation into Juventus transfer irregularities.

The investigation performed by the public prosecutor in Turin included numerous telephone wiretaps, which captured conversations between various Serie A clubs on inflated transfer fees.

It was noted when Juventus were docked 15 points that it was impossible to inflate fees single-handed, both clubs had to agree on the ‘excessive’ figure in order to boost their capital gains.

With that in mind, other clubs involved in those wiretaps – including Sassuolo and Atalanta – are concerned that they could be dragged into the next phase of the investigation and face possible sporting penalties.

“I read in the papers that various Serie A clubs are involved, but we have not received anything,” Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have to wait and see, but to be honest, we are very calm about the whole thing.”

Juventus were the only club docked 15 points because that was an appeal over a previous investigation, which did not include these wiretaps or Sassuolo.

The two clubs have done multiple deals over the years, most recently Manuel Locatelli on a loan with obligation to buy.
