The club from Tuscany will be play host to the rising force of the Nerazzurri, who have not been defeated since their match against Udinese on December 7.

Sarri, speaking in a Press conference ahead of the game, admitted the prospect of facing Inter's new outfit seems daunting.

“This is the worst time to face Inter,” Sarri considered today.

“What with their recent signings and the new Coach [Roberto Mancini], they've shown some real growth and I think they're presently at their maximum level.

“Tomorrow we'll need Empoli to come in bearing the right face. A team that can take to the field with no fear, conscious that our adversaries are stronger, but at the same time with no self-pity, or we're going to lose the game before playing it.

“We'll also need a dash of folly to make things difficult for them. When in possession, we'll have to sustain a great pace as well as an intensity in defence, since we'll be facing a team that unlike other challengers will not close itself in defence.

“[Inter Captain Andrea] Ranocchia played with me when he was very young, just like [Daniele] Rugani. When he was young he was already a professional, he had an excellent career and I think he can do even better.

“[Vincent] Laurini may not have 90 minutes in his legs, we tried some alternatives over the week and we'll see.

“[Levan] Mchedlidze could play together with [Massimo] Maccarone, I still haven't decided. We'll see tomorrow.”

Empoli today re-signed Riccardo Saponara from Milan.

“I'm pleased about Saponara, he is a talented player that I respect also as a person. I hope he can reboot his career with us the way that he deserves.”
