Bonucci declared this week that the Vesuviani boss was playing “mind games” to take the pressure off his side, and the tactician responded in today’s Press conference ahead of the Sassuolo game.
“I couldn’t care less,” Sarri shrugged.
“Bonucci does his job, I do mine. Even when they weren’t doing as well, I said that Juventus were the favourites.
“They’ve won four Scudetti in a row, reached the Champions League final, and have a significantly higher budget that anyone else.”
Napoli were defeated by Sassuolo in the first game of the season, what has changed since then?
“We’ve worked a lot since then. We were under construction while they had a settled squad. After that first defeat I said we’d finish in the top six. “A lot of people laughed, but now we’re strong. Sassuolo won against Inter and Juventus and drew with Roma and Fiorentina.
“This is a difficult test for us, against a strong opponent, in a situation where Inter stumbled.”
