Maurizio Sarri plays down reports he could move to Milan, with the Coach insisting he wants to stay with Empoli.

The tactician has been linked with replacing Pippo Inzaghi on the San Siro bench at the end of the season, but has distanced himself from those rumours, while admitting he’d like an English adventure.

“I’ve never coached a ‘big’ team,” Sarri told Rai.

“I don’t know I could play the same kind of football there which I do at Empoli, that’s a problem of Italian football.

“I still have two years on my contract [with Empoli] and I should be staying, given the excellent relationship I have with the club.

“If opportunities come along, then the club and I will evaluate them. I’d like to stay here and the chances are good that will happen.

“What would be ideal in football would be to look at the work someone does, not just the results.

“A dream? I’d like an experience in England.”
