Riccardo Saponara says Empoli are still his priority despite the fact that he’ll join Italian giants Milan in the summer.

The Diavolo signed Empoli’s half share in the player in January for around €4m. After talks with Parma, who co-own him, it was agreed that he’d move to San Siro at the end of the season.

However, after scoring twice in yesterday’s 5-0 win over Juve Stabia, the Italian Under-21 international has underlined that he’s still got plenty to give Empoli.

“The fact that Milan have signed me hasn’t made any difference to the relationship between my teammates and I,” he stated.

“Joining Milan will be a dream come true, they are one of the best teams in the world and I’m really happy with this transfer.

“However, from now until the end of the campaign I will only be thinking of Empoli.”

The Tuscan side are fourth in the table, six points adrift of Hellas Verona.
