“I don’t know if I’ll return to Italy,” the youngster told FC Inter News. “After all, I have a contract for the next five years.

“Moving to the Premier League was the right decision for me. It’s not easy to leave your own country, but I have settled well thanks to my Coach and my teammates.

“The differences between Italy and England? It’s much more physical over in England,” continued the Azzurrini captain. “Perhaps the weather too.”

Santon made his Inter debut under Jose Mourinho. He spent the final six months of last term on loan at Cesena.
