Siena Coach Giuseppe Sannino has revealed how he is preparing his players for Saturday night’s tough challenge away to Milan.

The Tuscans arrive at San Siro in Week 16 having never won away to the Rossoneri in the League and with Sannino himself on his first visit to the stadium as a Coach.

With League form, history and experience pointing towards a one-sided affair, Sannino has revealed how he intends to focus his players away from the inevitable.

“Let’s go with the knowledge that we have seen what we possess within,” began Sannino, perhaps in reference to the midweek Coppa Italia win at Palermo. “The boys have the opportunity to play with carefree, mentality free.

“I have told my players to enter the field as the unknown, without a face, without a name on the back. Then leave the field having well-defined our identity.”

Sannino then reflected on what will be his coaching debut at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

“When I was a player, for two days before a friendly with Torino I was overwhelmed by tension in Asti. Today, more or less, I feel the same, but tomorrow none of this will count.”
