The creative midfielder had been on the verge of completing a transfer to Napoli over the summer, but the contracts were not deposited before the deadline.

Now the Partenopei are eager to try again in January and face competition from Milan.

“I will not sell anyone, everybody will stay and I’ll give another two or three gifts to Vincenzo Montella, as he deserves it,” Ferrero told Il Secolo XIX newspaper.

“If someone were to turn up with €15m for Soriano, we’ll talk about it, but I doubt that’s going to happen.”

Sampdoria have already signed Ricky Alvarez as a free agent following his legal battle with Inter and Sunderland.

“I am told by those in the know that he’s a great player.”

The Blucerchiati are also targeting Leicester City forward Andrei Kramaric.

“We have been following Kramaric for a year now. We could be interested in some Inter defenders.”
