Massimo Ferrero says Sampdoria's future will be 'marvellous' even without Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, whose departure he 'couldn't care less' about.

The Blucerchiati’s Coach is being linked to the likes of Milan and Napoli following a strong season with his current team, but his current President seems indifferent to the rumours.

“Sampdoria's future, with him or without him, is going to be marvellous,” Ferrero said today to Sky Sports. “Football and life go on.

“Will he go to Milan? I couldn't care less. As for [Sassuolo Coach Eusebio] Di Francesco [rumoured to be first choice replacement], he's a good lad.”

The President also had the opportunity to reflect on last Saturday's 2-0 loss to Fiorentina.

“Our overall campaign is still excellent, but Fiorentina played better than we did and deserved their victory.

“May the best team win in the next game against Milan. What matters is that we don't let one defeat drag us down.

“Mihajlovic was right to punish the team this morning. I didn't know about it, but if the players weren't putting in effort then he was right.”
