Sampdoria are said to have a €10m deal in place for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian midfielder Fernando.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs have already agreed terms for an imminent transfer worth €10m.

The only issue is working out the schedule for payment, as the Ukraine club wants it delivered in two years, whereas Samp would prefer to spread the cost out over three.

It would be quite a coup for the Blucerchiati, who have new Coach Walter Zenga in charge.

The 23-year-old came through the Gremio academy and joined Shakhtar Donetsk in July 2013 for approximately €11m.

However, he is one of several players eager to move on due to the unstable political situation in Ukraine.
