Sampdoria have agreed a deal to sign Roma striker Gregoire Defrel on loan with an option to buy.
According to ANSA and Sky Sport Italia, Samp will sign Defrel on a season-long loan for €1.5m and able to buy him outright for €18-19m.
The Frenchman is expected to undergo his medical on Wednesday, before taking Duvan Zapata’s place in the Blucerchiati squad.
Injuried and poor form limited the 27-year-old to just once in 20 appearances for Roma last term.
