Reports in Argentina suggest that Salernitana are edging closer to a deal for San Lorenzo creative midfielder Agustin Martegani.
The agreement would be a loan with option to buy at the end of the season, but they continue to discuss the cost of the operation.
According to the latest suggestions, Martegani has decided he wants to leave San Lorenzo and make the move to Serie A.
The 23-year-old plays as a creative midfielder, but can also work on the left side of an attacking trident.
His contract with San Lorenzo runs to the end of December 2024 and he is a product of their youth academy.
So far this season, he has made 24 competitive appearances for the club, contributing three assists.
